EN 40000 series for the CRA
Nariman is a nominated expert in CEN/CENELEC JTC 13 WG 9, the working group drafting the harmonised standards for risk management, vulnerability handling and the generic security requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act.
About us
We help companies that build software and connected products make security part of how they work, from secure development maturity to CE conformity under the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
Why we exist
SecureHabits was founded by Nariman Aga-Tagiyev. He has worked in application security for more than 20 years, nine of them as Worldwide Cybersecurity Architecture Manager at Dassault Systèmes, where he built and ran the application security program.
Running a program like that shows where security breaks down. An audit or a new scanner changes little on its own. What lasts is a team where developers, architects and product owners know what to do and do it in every release.
That's the work we do for clients. We assess how you build software today, work alongside your teams on threat models, risk assessments and vulnerability handling, and hand the practices over so they stay after we leave.
Standards work
Our team holds seats in the groups that define what secure development and CRA conformity mean in practice. You get that knowledge first-hand, not from someone else's summary.
Nariman is a nominated expert in CEN/CENELEC JTC 13 WG 9, the working group drafting the harmonised standards for risk management, vulnerability handling and the generic security requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act.
Luc Poulin is lead editor of ISO/IEC 27034, the international standard for application security, and Nariman is an expert in the same group, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27/WG 4.
Nariman is a member of the OWASP SAMM core team, which maintains the open model for measuring and improving secure software development.
Eden Yardeni has been part of the OWASP ASVS working group since 2024, and Timo Pagel leads OWASP projects. Several of our associates contribute to OWASP, OpenSSF and ORCWG.
How we work
SecureHabits works with a network of independent senior associates. You get application security, incident response, risk management, technology law and conformity expertise under one engagement, and you don't have to reconcile separate opinions.
Our security practitioners have built and shipped software themselves. We work on your real systems in workshops, reviews and hands-on training.
Our work comes in packages with named deliverables and effort estimates, so you know what you get before we start. The EU CRA Compliance Journey is the clearest example.
We're based in 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands. We work onsite in Europe and remotely with companies anywhere that sell products on the EU market.
